To mark World Oceans Day on Friday, June 8, the Friends of Hunting Island are hosting a pair of events, one for dogs and one for those who might do a downward dog — that's yoga.

Dogs Night Out is from 5 to 6:30 p.m. where dogs will be able to mingle and Tina Eastman with Chanel and Fiji demonstrate an agility course, why leash laws are important, how dog waste effects the environment, among other items.

Sunset Yoga follows from 6:45 to 8 and will be an all-levels yoga class on the beach. All participants should bring a large towel.

Both events are on Hunting Island State Park at South Beach and regular park admission applies.
