Heritage shrugs off Friday's poor weather; Luke Donald in the lead

Seems a little rain wasn't able to dampen the sprits at HIlton Head's Heritage of Golf tournament.

WSAV's Holly Bounds was on the scene with a nice video about Friday's drizzle and relatively happy faces; watch it here. Of course, it will probably help their sprits as we head into the final days that we'll be enjoying sunny weather in the mid-80s.

As for the athletes, England's 33-year-old Luke Donald (and ranked the world's third best and would-be number one with a win here) is in the lead with ten under and doing his best to keep ahead of Garrett Willis' nine under.

The Associated Press has a nice report on the field; read it here.

And so far, organizers seem pretty happy with the new daily ticket sales and are expecting a boost on Sunday — which could well be the tournament's last day ever if a new sponsor is not found
