Update 2: The ZipLine attraction opens to the public today.

The Island Packet was on hand for a pre-launch event on Monday and has some first impressions.

Let us know what you think if you go.

Update: ZipLine tours will open Tuesday, April 17.

Clocking in at 150 minutes with seven lines, three sky bridges, and 75-foot heights, a new way to be a tourist in the Lowcountry is coming to Hilton Head: ZipLine.

Setting up at Broad Creek Marina Adventures near the southern end of the island just past the Cross Island Bridge, the group is looking to give canopy tours as guests go sliding along a cable lines.

WTOC 11 has a video overview (check it out over here) and they also have a short "helmet cam" clip of the zip lining in action (see that here).

However, you won't be able to take advantage of yip lining during this fantastic spell of Lowcountry winter weather -- look for them to open in early April.
