The 2012 Spoleto Festival poster is here

Usually we're chomping at the bit to get the new Spoleto Festival USA poster shared with readers, but, well, a day of server outages has a way of making things slip through the cracks.
Still, if you missed it, here's a little Tuesdays surprise.
The 2012 poster was unveiled on Thursday, April 5, and show a segment a 7 by 13 foot painting titled "Beast" by Chinese artist Li Songsong.
You can see his full painting alog with other work by Songsong at Art Hag.
Given the backlash heard about Spoleto art pics for their posters in years past, this poster has had a much more mild reaction and would, by that measure, already appear to be a success.
The 2012 festival runs from May 25 to June 10.
