The Old Exchange Building to host War of 1812 symposium

War of 1812: A Bicentennial Symposium will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Febraury 9 at the Old Exchange Building.

The symposium will feature five different speakers and be moderated by Dr. Donald Hickey, the award-winning author of The War of 1812: A Forgotten Conflict. 

Hickey is the 2013 General Mark Clark Distinguished Visiting Professor of History at The Citadel, and a history professor at Wayne State College. He is considered one of America's most premier scholars of the War of 1812, as he has penned 7 books on the subject.
