Tonight is a one-night-only performance featuring the Spoleto Festival USA Orchestra masterfully conducted by Emmanuel Villaume, Spoleto Music Director for opera and orchestra. We were on hand at this afternoon's dress rehearsal and scored some great footage of the powerful performance.

The orchestra takes on Ravel's La Valse, Richard Strauss’s epic tone poem Also Sprach Zarathustra, Johann Strauss's Die Fledermaus and Weber's Der Freischütz.

The performance is set for this evening, May 31st, at 7:30 p.m. in the Gaillard Auditorium. Ben Roe, former NPR music director and current producer of SCETV / WDAV radio program Spoleto Today, will offer a pre-performance talk at 6:15 p.m. in the Exhibition Hall of the Gaillard Auditorium.
