Charleston's literally home-grown food scene earns it a spot at Fodor's

From haunted history to no shortage of drinking spots, there are loads of reasons to visit Charleston — but the Holy City's "foodie-centric" nature has earned a spot as a "Buzzy Destination".

In Fodor's list of "21 Places toGo in 2012", Charleston was cited as a spot worth a visit for its efforts "to reintroduce heirloom produce and incorporate long-forgotten local ingredients, providing a flavor of the south that’s gone un-tasted for decades."

And Fodor's gives much of the credit to Southern heirloom loving Chef Sean Brock and his McCrady's and Husk locations.
