About 'that crazy sculpture' over at the College of Charleston

Image by Ken Hawkins/TheDigitelImage by 20090206-sclupture.jpg The sculpture three class inspects the fruit of their labors.

This sculpture was created as part of the College of Charleston's participation in the nationwide RecycleMania competition and partly created for the college's Green Street Fair

Dubbed "Liquid for Life," students of Jarod Charzewski's sculpture three class created this project using several thousand discarded 20-ounce soda and water bottles.

If you’re wondering “why?” The original idea was flat palmetto tree, and as Zack Mallard said, “I suggested it more as an oposition to the palmetto tree idea.”
