A new Facebook group was set up in memory of Brett Maynard who died in a fatal car accident on the James Island Connector.

The car Maynard was in was struck by another car headed the wrong way, the driver of that car has been charged with a DUI.

A memorial service for Maynard is scheduled for Wednesday, December 17, at 3 p.m. at Stuhr’s Funeral Home at 232 Calhoun Street in downtown Charleston.
