Studio 80 launches "80 Pieces + 80 Songs" project

Studio 80

Myrtle Beach-based Studio 80, a graphic design and branding specialist, is launching a community-centered project titled "80 Pieces + 80 Songs" which pairs songs and visual arts.

According to the press release on Studio 80's Tumblr, the project will run approximately six months where the process of creating one-of-a-kind design projects will be documented and featured online. Studio 80 will invite the community to observe and participate in the process, beginning with the first sound and sight pairing which takes place on the beach near 34th Ave. N. in Myrtle Beach on Saturday March 31, 2012 starting at 10 a.m.

According to their blog, "some will be destroyed immediately following their creation while others will be available for purchase." The studio invites all to come out and enjoy the artistic process and to document along with cameras. Studio 80 is also looking for participating sponsors, so if you are interested in supporting the project, please email studio.eight.zero@gmail.com for more information and a sponsorship form.

Looking through some of Studio 80's other work posted to their Tumblr, they also are the creators of some cool "I [heart] SC" merch, including an adorable beach pail gift set up for sale on their Etsy page.
