Charleston Mercury's price rises to $1
Image by 20090303-mercury.jpg Mercy me, the temperature's a risin' and so is the price.
John Stoehr tips us off that The Charleston Mercury has raised its price for the second time in two years: Now it's one full George Washington (or Sacagawea).
If you're not familiar with the salmon-colored fish wrap (they print on pink paper), they're a bi-weekly publication of the Evening Post Publishing Co. -- that's the same company that owns The Post and Courier, where the paper is printed.
The Mercury writes a lot about Charleston but also writes about national and international things and -- I think it's fair to say -- generally has a conservative and more well-to-do perspective on news and local events.
Here's their Web site.
