After much anticipation locally, Charleston entrepreneur Alesya Opelt launches Aleysa Bags' first line of high end laptop bags.

After a career of clicking mouses, Daniel Island resident Alesya Opelt has converged her love of fashion and technology while simultaneously saving the backs, arms and outfits of technology toting women everywhere.  She's helping women stay connected and look fabulous doing it.

Coming in three beautiful colors along the roy g. biv scale, Equestrian Tan, Kelly Girl Green,183
and Exquisite Eggplant provide a lovely assortment of options, while each are still a strong foundational accessory for any outfit.

Opelt’s says her previous career in the technology industry inspired her to develop a fashionable yet highly functional alternative to the traditional laptop bag.

The bag also received a rousing debut at the Charleston Center for Women’s Purse Auction in May this year, and the package it was included in received the highest bid of this year's event.

Opelt has also been documenting the development of her line from fruition on her blog.  She discusses the many delays, frustrations, tense moments and difficult decisions made in developing her own company, in hopes to encourage women to pursue their entrepreneurial dreams.

Charlie Magazine also did an informative feature on Opelt and Alesya Bags in May of this year, and is definitely worth a read to find out more about the designer and her process.

The purses run for $265 each, plus shipping and tax, and are available for purchase on AlesyaBags.com, which Opelt also officially launched today.  Opelt is also very active with her brand on Twitter, which you can follow at @Alesya.
