Narrow focus of arts aid upsets smaller groups

Keely Enright, co-founder of the Village Playhouse in Mount Pleasant, on the recent news that the big three -- Charleston Stage, Charleston Symphony Orchestra, and Charleston Ballet Theatre -- would be getting aid:
It broke my heart when I read that editorial in The Post and Courier about the three arts groups to benefit from the Donnelley Foundation holiday campaign because it made me feel as if our theater just didn't exist.

I don't think anyone feels of any ill intent, but it certainly resonates the neglect the little guys have been feeling over all the big federal bailouts.
