Charleston International ranked No. 2 nationally for largest airfare decreases

The Charleston Regional Business Journal recently report that yet another aspect of Charleston life has been ranked. Charleston International Airport was ranked No. 2 for the largest decreases and smallest increase in airfare in 2011.

According to the numbers released by the U.S. Bureau of Transportation Statistics, from the second quarter of 2010 to the second quarter of 2011, flight costs fell from an average of $461 to $428.

Beating out Charleston for the No. 1 spot on the list was neighboring Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport.
