Tasty hot doughnut fans rejoice: Krispy Kreme’s corporate office has sold the store on Savannah Highway to a franchisee who plans to expand in the Charleston region.

The fanchisee's name is Mile Herring, a 1993 College of Charleston graduate who already owns several Kirspy Kreme stores in Horry County and a franchise in Wilmington, N.C.

Herring said his company is all about focusing on the customer, and is ready to bring delicious doughnuts to the masses.
