First reporting: It was with much sadness that we heard Joseph's Restaurant was closing down after 14 years, but we can take some solace in knowing the space won't go vacant.

A new spot, Eli's Table, is due to open at 129 Meeting Street.

Eli's Table will be the newest restaurant venture for the Charleston Hospitality Group that includes Market Street Saloon, Sam's Corner, Toast, and Tabbuli.

According to Danielle Foxworth, spokesperson for CHG, Eli's Table is named after the son of the group's CEO, Sam Mustafa. Foxworth said they expect to open Eli's Table in the next two to three weeks and, once open, will serve "fresh, local, southern cuisine" for breakfast, lunch and dinner every day, plus brunch on Saturday and Sunday.
