The Charleston County Park and Recreation Commission wants to hear from you.

What do you envision for CCPRC’s recently purchased properties throughout the county? What activities, events, facilities and programs would you like available for your children and grandchildren? Your voice matters as we shape the future of parks and recreation in Charleston County.

CCPRC invites the public to participate in an online survey. The survey is available through September 17 at www.ccprc.com/ParksForTomorrow.

In addition to the online survey, a questionnaire is being mailed to 12,000 randomly selected households throughout August. Results will be reviewed this fall, with a plan expected for completion by April 2013.

Parks for Tomorrow is the name of CCPRC’s agency-wide effort to gather public input for use as a guide in the upgrade and development of facilities and services. Throughout the summer, internal and external focus group meetings were also conducted as part of the process, and six public workshops were held throughout Charleston County.
