Charleston VA hospital makes top 10

The Ralph H. Johnson Veterans Affairs Medical Center was recently named No. 10 in the nation in overall care by the Department of Veterans Affairs. Quite an improvement, considering they were No. 79 only a couple of years ago.

From Charleston Regional Business Journal:

John Barilich, director of the center, credits the skill and expertise of the staff for the sharp increase in rankings.

“Here at the Charleston VA, we’ve always provided excellent medical care,” Barilich said. “These metrics are just part of the proof.”

The Business Journal has more details on efforts that have been taken to improve care at the facility, as well.
