Downtown's Concord Park is looking for investors

The developer behind downtown Charleston's long-delayed Concord Park project hasn't been able to come up with the $16 million needed to buy the land and wants to bring in outside help to get the ball rolling.

The park is situated just off of Washington Street and Calhoun Street down by the South Carolina Aquarium. Currently the park is used for recreational sports throughout the year.

If the money comes in, the plan is to build a mix of condominiums, shops, a hotel and affordable housing.

The Post and Courier has the story.
