Hear it Direct Connects Local REALTORS® to Consumers in First-Ever Consumer Focused Real Estate Conference


Nationally recognized real estate experts and thought leaders will convene in Charleston, SC next Wednesday, December 7 at the American Theater for the first-ever Hear it Direct real estate conference. 

Charleston has been selected as the first destination for Hear it Direct, which will be replicated in cities across the country. 
The idea behind Hear it Direct is to connect the real estate professional directly with consumers through interactive panel discussions and technology use demonstrations. Attendees will hear from consumers on four different panels: buyers, sellers, technology and an agent discussion/wrap-up.  The participating consumers have been chosen by a market research team to ensure their impartiality.

During the technology use demonstrations, REALTORS® will get to watch as buyers search for a home online—giving them the opportunity to understand the behavior and preferences of their potential clients. 

“Interacting with and hearing directly from consumers during this event will give our REALTOR® members the opportunity to check their business and marketing plans against actual consumer preference and make adjustments where necessary” said Meghan Weinreich, communications director for the Charleston Trident Association of REALTORS®, who is sponsoring the event.

“We created Hear It Direct because for too long, the real estate professionals didn't know what the consumer wanted, and the consumer never really knew what the real estate professional goes through. We wanted to bridge that gap by bringing the consumer's voice into the industry. We think that the two sides can learn quite a bit from each other, and that insight will help improve the industry” says Sue Adler, CEO of Hear it Direct.
