The 'First in the South' presidential primary is just around the corner, but before that the South Carolina Republican Presidential Primary debates will be happening here in Myrtle Beach and the Chamber wants local businesses to help spread the excitement.
The ‘Myrtle Beach Area Goes Presidential’ campaign is designed for businesses to show community support, pride, and patriotism in the lead-up to the debate that will be held at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center on Monday, January 16, 2012.
The Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce is also planning on rewarding those participating businesses:
2012 republican presidential debate visitor discounts
Businesses are encouraged to show their community pride by sending in business discounts for the Myrtle Beach Presidential Primary Debate. Discounts will be posted on VisitMyrtleBeach.com/Debate from Jan. 13-16. Submit your discounts by Jan. 9 – buy one, get one free; 20% off; free gift with purchase; etc. Great opportunity to promote your business to thousands!
Show off your patriotism and win $300
More than 4,000 people are expected to attend the Jan. 16 Presidential Primary Debate along with hundreds of journalists from across the country. Businesses are asked to show off their patriotism by entering MBACC’s Civic Pride Decoration Contest for a chance to win – 1st Place – $300, 2nd Place – $200, 3rd Place – $100. Raise the American flag, wrap your businesses in red, white and blue, and post welcome signs. Entries will be judged for patriotic theme and creativity. Judging takes place Jan. 13.
Businesses can advertise their ‘Myrtle Beach Area Goes Presidential’ deals, discounts and shows of patriotism for free over at VisitMyrtleBeach.com/Debate.
