Myrtle Beach bank seized by law enforcement
Charleston-based Atlantic Bank & Trust is another failed bank in the wake of the real estate bust.
The FDIC took over the Charleston, Myrtle Beach, and Savnnah locations this week. Myrtle Beach branch employees were kept in the building until they were released at 9 p.m. WMBF News has some information about the Myrtle Beach branch here but the Post and Courier has a much more detailed write-up about the overall situation. - First Citizens will take over accounts and deposits for Atlantic Bank.
