Stitch wins Best of Show in statewide design awards

Charleston-based Stitch Design Co. won seven graphic design awards, including Best of Show in the annual awards of the South Carolina Chapter of the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA).

Three out-of-station judges - accomplished design professionals from other regions - made selections from over 300 statewide entries. The award winners were named at the INshow, a ceremony and gala held in Columbia this month, http://www.inshow-o-rama.com/. The awards were for pieces the firm designed for various in-town and regional clients, including:

Canvas Hair Salon, Library: Archives of Fashion, The James Pond, The Lee Bros. Troubadour, Stems, Wild Olive Restaurant

Stitch is a full-service design company founded this year by graphic designers Courtney Rowson and Amy Pastre. From it's design studio at No. 9 Cannon Street, Stitch works with clients to develop brands and identity materials, and to craft the finest design for printed pieces, brochures, logos, advertising, and online and electronic media. (The designers renovated the historic retail space, which had previously housed the Fralix Shoe Repair shop for more than 60 years.)
