A defense contractor and information technology company along with a freight-brokerage firm are opening branches in the Lowcountry and bringing about 70 jobs with them.
The defense contractors, New Orleans-based Geocent LLC, will be hiring 40 workers at their new branch opening January 1 at the Lowcountry Innovation Center. Cincinnati-based Total Quality Logistics, which moves over 8,500 freight shipments a week, is searching for 30 workers to come to their Daniel Island branch.
The Post and Courier has a bit more on both companies, types of openings available and their impact on the Lowcountry. Read it here.
