L.W. Paul Living Farm hosts annual Syrup Day

On Saturday, November 10, 2012, the L.W. Paul Living Farm in Conway will be hosting their annual Syrup Day from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. 

The event will feature the process that takes sugar cane to syrup.  First the cane will but cut early in the day, then Minnie the mule will squeeze it.  Next it will be cooked in a huge iron pot.  

There will also be grit grinding, tobacco tying, and blacksmith demonstrations.  They will be making butter, sewing, and singing.  The Horry County Parks & Recreation Department will be on-site to do crafts with the children, as well.
