Conway Middle School student project selected by Apple; iTunes featured
Sixth grade Conway Middle school students work on iPod touch devices for their project.
Kelly Moran, sixth grade science teacher at Conway Middle, helped earn her school a shiny new iPad and MacBook by participating in an Apple Education program.
Their iTunes feature is "how iPod touch empowers sixth grade science students to become meteorologists" You can download it for free in iTunes now. You can view all of the Apple Distinguished Educator videos here.
The students learned how to read weather maps using the PhotoPuppet app to produce TV-style weather reports on the iPod Touch. The Sun News has a great write-up on how the project came to be. Read it here.
