Downtown Conway hotel a possibility

The City of Conway is funding a feasibility study to determine whether or not the downtown area could support a hotel, and if so, how big?
Mayor Alys Lawson feels that the area could benefit from a hotel, bringing in business travelers, visitors wanting to enjoy all Conway has to offer, as well as accommodate parents of Coastal Carolina University students. Others in town, specifically the owner of the Cypress Inn, a Conway bed and breakfast, doesn't agree that the addition makes sense.
