Charting the future of biking in Charleston

The death of cycling-advocate Edwin Gardner is really starting to feel like a tipping point in Charleston's shifting transportation culture.
Though it's only been a few weeks since Gardner was fatally wounded when his bike went up against and SUV, more passion than ever seems to be infused in the effort to make biking a safer more practical alternative to driving around peninsular Charleston.
And in today's Charleston City Paper there's a nice summation of that shift and the elements in play. While there's little breaking news in the piece, it does a nice job of bringing it all together and painting a coherent vision of where much of Charleston wants biking to be.
