10 Southern beers for summer

It's hot, really hot — but you don't need to head out of the South for great options to cool you off.

With North Carolina beers tasting of hints of basil, to Florida with guava notes, to a light peppery farmhouse ale from Texas, there's plenty of great beer brewed in the South to get you through the hot summer months, including the local Coast option of Kölsch 32/50, the Köln, Germany, style super fresh beer that's best drunk in massive quantities.

Garden and Gun has a good roundup if you're looking for some beer navigation aid; check it out here.
