All 20 schools in Kershaw County have been placed on lockdown in response to a teenage boy threating harm against students via an Internet message.

The threats were reported to Kershaw County police on Tuesday night, and the boy was arrested earlier today. It is unknown if the boy was acting alone, so the schools will remain on lockdown and under heightened security until all is reported clear.

The Post and Courier has the wire story.
