Charleston prison inmate escapes pre-release center facilities (update: caught)

Update February 18: After less than a day after his prison escape, Gamlbe was captured by authorities around 1 p.m. on Tuesday in North Charleston.

Adding to his two-year sentence, Gamble is now charged with escape, which can increase a sentence up to 15 years if convicted. 

First reporting:
The South Carolina Department of Corrections is looking for Evan Lamar Gamble, an inmate at Coastal Pre-Release Center who authorities say walked away from facilities just before 8 p.m. on Monday.

Gamble is described as a 5'9" black male, weighing 145 pounds. He is serving a two-year sentence for shoplifting in 2009.
