On Friday afternoon, a Union County deputy concluded a not-so-high-speed chase involving a go-kart thief.

The deputy heard the call over his radio, and soon after spotted the the go-kart and driver at an intersection less than half a mile away from the suspect's house. Authorities arrested and charged Edward Matthew Sweezy, 29, with resisting arrest, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and public drunkenness.

A stun gun had to be used to subdue the irate Sweezy.

Crazy stuff.
