FBI reports S.C. violent crime down 6 percent

The Post and Courier reports that the state of South Carolina saw a 6 percent drop in violent crimes in 2008.

The drop in violent crime is good news, especially in trying economic times. On the downside, however, there showed to be an increased rate of reported rapes in both Charleston and Mount Pleasant.
