Non-student arrested in connection with St. James High School bomb threat

St. James High School on Facebook

Just when you thought the rash of bomb threats in Horry County schools was left behind like last year's tater tots, a non-student was arrested for making one, anonymously, at St. James High School.

Tony Franks, a 52 year-old Garden City man, was arrested for calling in the threat yesterday morning, requiring the evacuation of the school.  Reaction on MYR social media was as expected. Many comments started with some version of "really??!!!" and "here we go again."

WPDE has the details about the accused and the impact it had both on the school and law enforcement.  The incident was first reported via Horry County School Facebook page.
