Spring has officially sprung and several parks around the greater-Charleston area are playing host to a multitude of seasonally appropriate events this weekend. Here is your roundup:
- Charleston Fashion Week kicked off on Tuesday and has been rocking Marion Sqaure every night since. It runs through Saturday night, and tickets to select shows and the official after party are still available starting around $75. Those interested should be sure to click over to Holy City Sinner's full breakdown of CFW events for scheduling logistics and designer details. A list of the Special Guest Fashion Panel is also available here via the CFW website.
- The ninth annual Battle of Charleston reenactment is taking place until Sunday evening at Legare Farms on Johns Island. Leagre Farms and the 7th South Carolina Infantry will commemorate the 150 year anniversary of the American Civil War by offering patrons a taste of the 19th century and the opportunity to walk down "sutler's row" and purchase period products and lunch. Attendees will also be able to watch a period blacksmith and visit a civil war-era hospital tent. A full list of weekend events can be found here. General admission is $10 and tickets for children younger than 13 is $5.
- The 2013 Spring Jam Music Festival will be Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Brittlebank Park. Ticket packages are available in a one-day selection for $20 advance purchase ($25 at the gate) or a two-day option for $30 advance purchase only.
- Water Missions International is hosting the seventh annual Charleston Walk for Water this at 9 a.m. this Saturday at Cannon Park.
