Wildlife, guns and a cup: this weekend's roundup

Being on the verge of 'that time of year again' in Charleston means there's a ton to do every weekend in the Lowcountry. Here's the roundup for this weekend:
- The Southeastern Wildlife Exposition will run Friday through Sunday. SEWE returns to Charleston and events be found in a multitude of locations downtown. You can see the City Paper's coverage here and the full schedule of events here. Tickets are no longer being sold online but information about buying them otherwise is one click away. Also, the SEWE King Street Stroll will take place Friday evening from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and will include shopping, art and refreshments.
- The Charleston Gun and Knife Show will be making its first of four appearances this year at the Exchange Park in Ladson. Tickets are $7 and children under 12 get in free of charge.
- The 10th annual Carolina Challenege Cup kicks off Friday evening at Blackbaud Stadium on Daniel Island. The Chicago Fire will face the Houston Dynamo in the first match of the tournament at 5 p.m., followed by the Charleston Battery's season opening match against the Vancouver Whitecaps FC at 7:15 p.m. Ticket packages for the Cup can be found here.
- Eliot Lipp will headline the Winter Masquerade Ball at the Music Farm on Saturday night. Tickets are $17 and on sale here.
