Wild Creations of Myrtle Beach invests in "Shark Tank" business (Update: Bloomberg write-up)
Update May 3, 2012: Myrtle Beach-based Wild Creations is still plugging along with growing their FlipOutz business. This week they were featured in Bloomberg Businessweek. Check it out.
First Report: After some briefly tense negotiations on the ABC show "Shark Tank", the Charlotte-area Johnson family came to an agreement with three of the Sharks for their Flipoutz product. Wild Creations of Myrtle Beach then worked out a subsidiary deal with the Flipoutz group.
One of their distribution and sales strategies is called "KidzForce" where they are setting up programs to have kids sell the products as a fundraiser for their schools. WPDE has a nice write-up about the details of the deal and a Skype interview with the kids. See it here.
