The legendary Dunes Club of Myrtle Beach gets its fifteen minutes of fame. The Public Broadcasting Service recently shot footage of Myrtle Beach's second oldest golf course for an hour long documentary. The documentary is set to air in 2012

The PBS project focuses on 14 game-changing architects over the past 100 years including A.W. Tillinghast, Donald Ross, Pete Dye, Robert Trent Jones, Tom Fazio, Rees Jones, Tom Doak and the team of Ben Crenshaw and Bill Coore.

The Dunes Club originally built 1948 underwent extensive renovation of the golf course in 1992. Parts of the renovation was overseen by Robert Trent Jones. Jones retooled the contours of six holes to make the course more player friendly. The most extensive renovations were the relocation of the 11th green and building a new tee box for hole #8.
