Redux Contemporary Art Center is offering opportunities for emerging and established artists to exhibit in the heart of downtown Charleston.

Exhibitions are not limited to any media, and all applicants will be considered for solo, group, and two person exhibitions and residencies in 2012 and 2013.

Redux currently presents six to eight exhibitions each year, featuring work by emerging and mid-career artists. Redux shoots for diversity in style, media and subject matter when planning their season.

Thanks to the generosity of the Andy Warhol Foundation, this year, three artists will be awarded an honorarium up to $2,000. This honorarium is to help artists offset installation and travel costs. Additionally, Redux will publish an exhibition catalog.

To apply for an exhibition, residency, or to submit your curatorial proposal for the 2012-'13 calendar you must submit the following materials Redux studios:

  • Portfolio of recent works (5 - 23)
  • Inventory list including titles, dates completed, sizes, and mediums
  • Artist Statement
  • Artistic Resume

The official deadline for all entries is postmarked October 24 2011. Artists will be notified of results by mail on or before December 3rd 2011.
