On April 9, Jazz Artists of Charleston will celebrate the 4th Annual Jazz Artists of Charleston Day as declared by Mayor Joe Riley in 2010.

This momentous acknowledgement is celebrated around the country as National Jazz Day and is perfectly aligned with recognizing jazz in America during the month of April, Jazz Appreciation Month! To celebrate these occasions, JAC will again extend the holiday from one single day event into a week-long celebration of the rich and vibrant jazz culture in Charleston.

JAC will present five days of diverse programming to celebrate the work of JAC and CJO, while raising awareness and funds to keep the mission and vision moving forward. JAC is invested in the preservation, development and promotion of a vibrant and creative jazz culture that is CHARLESTON JAZZ, seeking to further this vision through the intimate concerts, special events, and educational programs offered during JAC Week.
