First reporting:

Charleston's chaotic arts and kulture mixer is back for a 5th time on November 6 and 7 -- that's a Friday and Saturday.

Read more stories on this subject in our Kulture Klash topic page. The first night of Kulture Klash is a free artist mingle, and the second night is slated to be a lot more chaotic with a bike theme.

Here's what one of the organizers told us in an e-mail:

Friday Nov 6th from 8-11pm we are hosting an Artist Reception. This will be free to art lovers 21+only who want to view art and mingle with artists. We will have munchies, a chill DJ and a cash bar. (this is so the art doesn't get lost in a sea of music, dancing and general craziness on Saturday). We hear there might be a bike parade this evening from the art walk downtown to the KK5 event space.

Saturday Nov 7th from 8pm-2am. BIKE THEME. We will have bike polo matches, bike dancing, bike poetry, bike art and slow bike races. We are collaborating with Charleston Moves, Holy City Bike Co-op, Charleston Cycle Chic and other bicycle groups around town. Our goal is to promote bike safety, encourage community and more understanding of how to share the road. And of course, there will be DJs, musicians, graffiti, dancing, lots of weirdness, lots of people and lots of chaos.

If you're game, go ahead and buy your ticket before October 15th as you'll save 50%. Tickets are $10 now thru October 15th, then $15 thru November 5, then $20 at the door. Buy them at Artist & Craftsman, Scoop Studio, 52.5 Records, and D'allesandro's.

Why the price hike? Organizer Ambergre Sloan said, "We have to raise the price a little due to increasing costs as we get bigger and bigger, but we wanted to give people a chance to still get $10 if they can snag them early." But they're also willing to give out free tickets to those that are willing to help set up. E-mail info@kultureklashartsfestival.com.
