Legends In Concert Announces Spring 2013 lineup

Legends in Concert Myrtle Beach officials announced the spring lineup for the opening of the 2013 season in combination with the celebration of their 30th Anniversary as the World’s Leading Tribute Show.

The new set of tribute artists—who will perform from February 11th through May 11th —will portray Elvis, Tina Turner, Johnny Cash, Adele, and Rod Stewart.

Jay Dupuis, born and raised in Baton Rouge, LA, will take Myrtle Beach’s stage this spring as the recent winner of Philadelphia’s installment of the 2012 Preliminary Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest. Excitement is building among Dupuis’ fans for this return to Myrtle Beach after a few limited engagement appearances in 2012.

The electrifying Lori Mitchell-Gay returns to the Grand Strand as Tina Turner this Spring with a re-vamped, high-energy set of all of Tina’s greatest hits. Lori’s set list will include a wide variety of music from Tina’s career from the days of the Ike & Tina Turner Revue to unstoppable chart-toppers from her unforgettable comeback album, Private Dancer and beyond. Lori will be joined on-stage by JC Brando’s tribute to recent smash and Grammy winning singer, Adele. JC’s remarkable resemblance to Adele and soulful vocals are guaranteed to wow Myrtle Beach fans as she takes the Legends’ Myrtle Beach stage for the first-time ever!

The diverse spring lineup is rounded out with a tribute to “The Man In Black”, Johnny Cash offered up by Legends’ newcomer Paul Eve and super high energy tribute veteran Rob Caudill as Rod Stewart. The tribute to country rebel, Johnny Cash, will be Paul Eve’s first appearance with Legends In Concert. Paul is a seasoned Johnny Cash tribute with a multitude of credits to his performance forte bringing capacity-crowds to their feet nightly with hits from “Ring of Fire” to “Folsom Prison Blues”. Myrtle Beach veteran Rod Stewart tribute, Rob Caudill, re-joins the cast bringing years of Rod Stewart’s radio friendly rock anthems to the stage. Rob continues to energize crowds with his spot-on Stewart vocals and non-stop flurry of stage antics.

Myrtle Beach General Manager, Jason Aiesi, states “This lineup was crafted with our fans in mind, as we always do, answering their calls for the return of some of our most beloved tribute artists infused with new tributes like Adele.” He further commented “this set of acts is perfectly fitting for kicking off our 30th year and spotlighting the diversity of musical legends that we offer as the world leader in tribute shows!”

The spring schedule will also include a return of the annual sell-out Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Preliminary Contest. This year marks Myrtle Beach’s 6th contest in conjunction with Elvis Presley Enterprises on April 6th, 2013 at 7:00PM. The contest will feature over 12 contestants competing to move on the Elvis Week semi-finals in Memphis, TN with more details to follow.
