Update December 12: ABC News 4 brought their cameras out to Torch on Sunday night and got some great footage from the Dellz Love Fest.

In the segment are clips from the party and interviews with both Maudell Grayson and her daughter Nikki.

First reporting: Come out and share the love this Sunday in honor of Dell, one of our favorite locals and owner of the amazingly delicious Dellz Deli.

In spite of her recent tragedy, a handful of great people, business owners and friends are coming together to help support Dell and her family business. There will be yummy Dellz Deli samples, raffle items, great sales by local designers and beautiful music and poetry from Quentin Baxter & Marcus Amaker.

Dell's daughter Nikki further explains the inspiration behind the Dellz Love Fest:

Thank you for continuing to show love to my mother in regards to the stabbing incident. The stabbing caused a emotional and financial strain on my mother during the final completion of our smoothie bar ("Dellz Vibez") MANY people called/posted asking what they can DO to help. My mother has ALWAYS been a woman of love, and it hurts my heart to see her not happy as she should be because of what happened and the fact that he's still calling and on the loose. I just really want to lift her spirits with a LOVE FEST, and we cant remove all of her strains, but maybe lift her spirits during the holidays. SOoooo..with all of that being said!!! IF you are a artist, musician, graphic designer, event planner or have connections and just want to help out with this LOVE FEST dedicated to celebrating Dellz Deli and my mother PLEASE attend this event or help any way you are able."

Let's give a LOVE FEST to my mother who gives LOVE to soooo many!!!

The Dellz Love Fest is being held at Torch Velvet Lounge on Sunday, December 11th from 2 p.m to 11 p.m. There is a $5 suggested donation at the door, or, if you'd like, you can donate directly to the Dellz Deli Fund via the Eventbrite page.
