It's weekend round-up time; you know the drill.
If you've yet to grab lunch, you should swing by The Bagel Shop and score a $1 bagel with any spread you like. All you have to do it hand off one of your business cards. A small price to pay for a $1 lunch.
Be sure to check out the Receiver Time-Based Media Festival. The weekend-long art event is taking place in venues all across downtown Charleston. To help you navigate your way through this four day festival, we wanted to connect you with the super handy festival schedule (map included).
If you're into soccer, you don't want to miss the final matches of the Carolina Challenge Cup. On Saturday, MLS's Toronto FC plays D.C. United at 5 p.m. followed by the tournament finale between the Battery and the Chicago Fire at 7:15 p.m.
Attention climbers of all ages: Charleston County Parks and Recreation Commission has teamed up with Half Moon Outfitters to present the 14th Annual Palmetto Pump & USA Climbing Competition. Come out and compete or simply witness a spectacular competition of strength, balance, and endurance from some of the best climbers in the Southeast.
On Saturday night, the boys at Big John's Tavern are showing their support for injured former South Carolina Stingray player Kirk Daubenspeck by hosting a fundraiser this Sunday from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. Drink up for a great cause.
For some in-your-face art, make your way up I-26 to Mixson this Sunday for the Battle of the Brushes, an interactive art show and friendly competition supporting Charleston’s top collegiate artists. You'll get to see some great student art happen in a super cool neighborhood.
Apparently Park Circle didn't get the memo that St. Patty's Day isn't until next week, so they are throwing the 8th Annual St. Paddy's Day Block Party and Parade on East Montague Avenue of North Charleston's Olde Village.
In keeping with the whole block party theme, this Sunday brings about the March installment of Second Sunday on King Street. Get out and enjoy the sights, sounds, shops, and restaurants along King Street without any vehicular traffic.
