It's the weekend round-up!

Welcome to the December 11th - 13th installment of the weekend-round up. And to our Jewish readership, here's wishing you a very happy Hanukkah!

As always, the Charleston City Paper has a great round-up of events hot off the press, so be sure to take a gander that-a-way.

But we've got some more events to throw into the mix, so here goes.

Let's kick it off with the best kind of fun out there: free fun. Friday, Saturday and Sunday are jam packed with free events, and contributer Olivia Gossett created a special list highlighting them all.

Saturday is playing host to quite an eclectic mix of happenings. In the out-of-the-ordinary category you've got the Summerville Slamboree wrestling event and the second annual gun buy-back program. Comic book fans, good news, Captain's Comics is holding a special sale with markdowns of 25% - 50% off. If you're looking for some serious harmonizing, you're also in luck. The Charleston's Barbershop Chorus will be performing for King Street shoppers from 3 p.m. onward. To add more holiday cheer to your Saturday, you can also check out the annual Family Yuletide event out at Middleton Place. Looking for the perfect man-gift? Consider hitting up the Coast homebrew shop for a clearance sale that can only be described as a homebrewer's dream.

Sunday is downtown Summerville's Christmas parade (and Mount Pleasant's) featuring floats, music, fun and food. Christmas not your thing? Head to Marion Square and get your Hanukkah on with free potato latkes, music and friends.

Finally, if you're getting ready to do some holiday shopping this weekend, be sure to take a look at TheDigitel's holiday gift guide before heading out the door.

That's all she wrote for this edition of the weekend round-up. Have a good one, ya' hear?
