Lowcountry composers to showcase their talent in Saturday's LOCALOPUS
The Jazz Artists of Charleston are assembling on Saturday, May 19th, to continue their 2012 series with LOCALOPUS.
LOCALOPUS, featuring the Charleston Jazz Orchestra, is a celebration of the talent from our own backyard. The show consists of original compositions from members of the local jazz music community, namely Robert Lewis, Mark Sterbank, Charlie Lee, Tyler Ross, Tommy Gill, Craig Budde and Charlton Singleton.
You'll have two chances to enjoy these homegrown arrangements on Saturday evening. Both performances will be held at the Charleston Music Hall, with the first set beginning at 7 p.m. and the second at 10 p.m. Tickets are on sale now.
Check out the teaser we shot during the CJO's rehearsal this past weekend to get a sneak peek (and listen) at what's in store. The video is posted above.
