Come out to Charles Towne Landing on Saturday, April 11 where historic enactors will be dressed in 17th century garb in commemoration of the establishment of the Carolinas in 1670.

Here's a bit about the anniversary events: Demonstrations of firing of black powder cannons and muskets, cooking and other daily chores crucial to the colony's survival will take place inside the palisade wall. Also, visit the wharf area to board a reproduction 17th century trading vessel and experience a day in the life of a sailor.

So, head over to Charles Towne Landing State Historic Site (map) from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 11 to get a taste of Carolina history.
