The public will get a chance to learn more about the early years of South Carolina through recent archaeological findings and a lecture on Thursday at Charles Towne Landing.
Artifacts from Lord Ashley's plantation, discovered in 2009, will be available for public viewing on August 26th, at 6 p.m. at Charles Towne Landing's Founders Hall. Archaeologists Katherine Saunders and Andrew Agha will be presenting their findings during a lecture, followed by an exhibit and a reception. There is no admission fee.
