Every Saturday night in September, Park Circle set the stage for a one of a kind festival for the area: The Greater Park Circle Play Fest.

Consisting of three different short plays in one night, the festival's focus is on informal, staged readings that highlight playwrights from New York City to Charleston, South Carolina. Tickets for each Saturday night are only $7 for adults and $5 for students, making this the perfect opportunity to step support the development of community theater in Charleston.

All performances will take place at the South of Broadway Theatre Studios located at 1080 E. Montague Avenue in North Charleston. Tickets for the September 4th kickoff are on sale now.

The Charleston City Paper has a great write-up on the upcoming event, including details on noteworthy performances as well as pedigree actors and playwrights involved in this year's festival.
