Charleston Fashion Week holds regional model casting calls for the 2011 event

Charleston Fashion Week and organizers of the Model Search and Rock The Runway Model Competition have announced that in addition to accepting applicants online, they will hold open castings in Charleston, Charlotte and Atlanta for the March 22-26, 2011 event.

The five-night celebration which has helped launch the careers of numerous designers and aspiring models will cast as many as 400 male and female models for the fifth annual event.

In order to secure an audition at the casting call, participants must complete the online application by October 15, 2010. Open castings will be held from 3 to 4 p.m. in Charleston, SC on October 23rd and November 13th at the Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina, and October 30th at the Art Institute of Charlotte, NC. Details for the Atlanta casting are still to be determined.

Applicants under 18, must have a parental/guardian present to participate in the open casting. Females must be at least 5’7” and males must be at least 5’10” to qualify, height will be confirmed at the casting call. Dress attire for the casting is casual. Woman should wear form fitting clothes, have hair pulled back, little to no makeup, and must wear high heels to walk in. Men should wear fitted pants and a fitted shirt with hair away from their face.

All models that are accepted to walk in a Charleston Fashion Week runway show will receive a gift bag valued at $500, recognition on the CFW website, hotel accommodations for out of town models, and the opportunity to compete in the Rock The Runway Model Competition.
